Artist Virginia A. Myers (1927-2015) was born in Indiana and grew up in Ohio. She earned her M.F.A. in painting from the California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, and completed post-graduate work at the University of Illinois. In 1955 she went to the University of Iowa to study printmaking with Mauricio Lasansky. In 1962 she became a University of Iowa faculty member and taught printmaking in the School of Art and Art History. (Wikipedia). |
