This radiator cap was stolen from Bonnie and Clyde's 1933 Ford by a local man. It was later donated to the Dexter Historical Museum by the man's family. Content can be used with the following standards: SS-Gov. 9-12.28 Iowa Issues and Policy and SS-U.S. 9-12.23 Iowans Influence U.S. History in a lesson on Iowa's involvement in Bonnie and Clyde's crime spree and how they impacted the local law in Dexter, IA. Bonnie and Clyde were in Dexter, Iowa following a shootout in Missouri to tend to Buck Barrow's (Clyde's brother) head injury. When someone notified authorities after finding the bloody bandages, the gang stole a car from a nearby farm. |
