Grout Museum District - Waterloo, Iowa |
Description |
This KKK uniform was donated anonymously. It was found in the attic of a rental property in Waterloo, c. 1980. Judging by its construction and cut, the robe probably dates to the 1920s, the peak of local Klan membership. There is a tag inside the collar that reads "BENEFIT No. 25 K.K.K. Band." For any use other than instructional resources, please check with the organization that owns this item regarding copyright restrictions. |
